5 hrs was the workout today.
packed 3 liters of electrolytes and 1,5 hammer bars in small pieces.
I started out home headed north and west to 125th street . Got to West side highway - took the walk path all the way down to southern Manhattan - continues fine until about 20th street then there is construction on the East side .....
so I took 1st Ave North. Got all the way to 106 st and 2nd ave in my 5 hrs....
Today I ran 10 mins and walked 5 mins. Towards hour 4 and 5 it was harder and harder to start jogging after walking.
My pace was slow but I kept the run walk ration the whole time.
The calfs are smoked after 3 hours - I am rolling them and trying different foods to recover better.
Most likely saying bye bye to a toe nail - It hurts and should probably fall off soon. Today's run was 33 km or 20,5 miles....
same rules apply - always wear a back back - right now with about 10-13 lbs in it.....no music....no checking the phone.
