Sweden Sky Race 24 - July 19 2014

Right before start
I took it pretty easy in the week prior.... maybe I should just keep active it seems...

Got up to Kiruna and caught the train thanks to a sweet girl who had checked the time table....
On the train up to Björkliden, this was really happening.

Slept kind of poorly but super happy to be amongst people that like to run far and be outside.
Saturday the race started at 6pm ....
I found out that it wasn't 50km it was 57km and I was hoping to make the lap time so I could go out for another lap.

I didn't make the lap time but I met a guy with about 27km left....we stuck together until the end.
My ankle was okay the whole way -
1 year and 9 days after I had ligament surgery on my ankle I was able to to a fairly technical sky-race.
Not to shabby.

Here is the official film from the race- Amazing nature.

Time for me 14 h and 53 mins......57km 3000m ascent and 3000m descent.
Onward and upward - plenty of room for improvement. :-)
The nature made me weep at times. And the fact thatI could manage through the terrain - what an improvement from 1 year ago :-)

Here is a loopy film from summit 2 or hill 2 as I called it

Peace. Love. CrossFit. Run. Life
