August 16 - 3 hr run

.....todays training -
pack backpack
2 liters of water w electrolytes 2 larabars
and some clothes to simulate weight.

backback weighed about 6 kilos today - 13 lbs
I weighed 83 kilos, 182 lbs plus the back pack so no gaselle here

I started to run set my timer for 3 hours - started timing on my arm
every 20 minutes I ate 1/6 the of a lara bar and drank 1/4 of the liquid.
This took me almost 2 minutes each time - at that time I walked.

Everything was fine until 2:13 - at that point my feet hurt, feels like my shoes are too small
calfs hurt, thighs started to feel dense as hell.....
although my Lululemon shorts are very cute they are not long enough to prevent shafing- note to self
cute but not for running yet - thighs still rub together.

Anyway I managed the last hour  -2 laps in Central Park 21,8 km -13,54 miles.
I had to take 2 additional walking breaks of 2 mins each and try to get my calves going .......
Need to buy shoes a size larger .... and no more 'cute' shorts.
But I finished  - although not with the stride of the wind but rather cripples shuffle.....

Drank a recovery drink after - felt really cold and shivering - hot shover and warm clothes helped that

Onward and upward - need to roll out and eat.
