got to the gym thinking I was going to do the wod and then maybe run.
.....no more gym wods for a while.
my wod was 2 hr run, carry your backback (apx 12 lbs and not a running back pack) no music, eat and drink and see what happens.
so starting from the gym at 142nd street and 5th ave, went down 5th ave to 123 cut across to Lenox, south to Central Park , one loop Central park then exit 110th street to Morningside Park 113th street, one loop weaving up and down the stairs then up to 116th and Manhattan ave - that is where my 2hrs stopped
15 km.
I had 0,5 l electrolyte water before the run.
On the run I treated it like 6 x 20 min wods....
every 20 min I had 1/6 of a Larabar
1/3 liter of electrolyte water (hour 1 )
1/3 liter of water (hour 2)
Calfs, hamstrings and hip flexors was tired at the end but ok
Tried to run as quietly as possible . Ninja running - and with as good form as possible with my non running backpack.
And so it has begun......
I need a running backpack and some running socks......
I need to figure out trail shoes for desert running..........and the rest of the gear, but that will come.
