Monday with Coach U and a 'fun thing'


Today I felt sluggish! Tired! I have not had any grains for 2 weeks and no milk for 3 weeks.
I feelt tired today and I tried to eat well before I went to SATS for my meeting with Coach U.

We had a 1PM session.
I told him about my Saturday and he told me  that maxing on your 5th day may not be when you get your best results.  So maybe I didn't need to cry over my dead lift attempt.....maybe.....

We got on with Front Squat
10kg x 6
20 kg x 4

30kg x3 on the minute every minute for 8 mins.
felt good and they I tried to lead with my elbows..

then he told me he hat a 'fun thing'

okay -
Coach U: -have you done G.I. Jane?
Me:- no ! you mean 100 burpee pulllups for time?
Coach U: - yeah----but you only have to do 1/2
Me: - so 50!

A year ago I could not do a burpee nor a pull-up.
Today I did 75

1/2 G.I. Jane
50 burpee-pull ups ( with 3 weigh plates to jump up to the pull up)
Time: 6:40
rested 4 minutes
and then he said I should do 25 more
Time:3:10
total time inc 4 min rest 13:50.

I was really close to getting a pull up today.
:-)
I walked home feeling less sluggish and quite happy with my accomplishments, with 12kg dog food over my shoulders :-)
