MDS 2015 mission accomplished - abbreviated race report



I managed to collect the money I set out to collect for my charity and I managed to shave off 10 hrs (actually 21 hrs) on my time.  

I ran and I had fun.  I walked and I was amazed once again at the place, the people and myself. 
I had the best tent-mates TENT#177, Jay, Marissa, Sam, Dave, Liza, Meghan and Anthony.  

I laughed, I smiled, I have so many funny stories. 
I could have packed better (hello Marissa) I could have had more food (hello Jay, Dave, Liza, Meghan), more coffee(hey Anthony), Sam I am sure I could have had more band-aids too ;-) 

All in all it was awesome - now I want to train again for my next adventure.
It is always sad to leave the desert, the people, the simplicity and the pure joy and friendships out there.

final update before mds 2015 - Sarah Grey Marathon des Sables



Had my final checkup at my rehab god ! He praised my training and my health! Thank you for putting me back together.

14 - 15 March 60 km weekend.



legs are holding up, so is the rest of my body.  2 blisters after this weekend but nothing crazy bad.

getting ready in every way.  Looking forward to my adventure and test of mind over matter:-)

Friday March 13 -great week of running so far

pack inventory coming together
I feel strong. 
I feel good.

I have slept a lot and eaten well.

I've gone heavy on the pack. Super heavy.

This is going to be a big weekend.

March 1 - T minus 32 days

......so I did some rounds on my lovely hill - about 8 miles on the hill and 2 additional miles 
managed to twist my ankle on the ice and mud but I am alright.  A little tender but it will be healed in no time-

Feb 19 - Thursday - and so far this week I have run more than a marathon with about 12-15% of bw on my back




yeah my legs are a bit tired and I am happy to say that my MDS2015 pack is about 7kg.....3 kg make a huge difference....I am training with my commuter pack so it is heavier-----that is good 
Today the bridge was a pain ....but I owned it.
